ROOM PARENT
Connecting parents is an essential role of the PTA. Not only does this help build relationships within each grade, but it is also an effective way to provide communication and volunteer support to both the teacher and the classroom. Each year we need one parent from each class to be the Room Parent. The Room Parent serves as the liaison between the teacher or the PTA and the rest of the parents in the class, to recruit parent volunteers for various activities, and to help families stay connected with what is happening both in the classroom, and the school.
IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN BEING A ROOM PARENT FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE FILL OUT THIS GOOGLE FORM.

CLASSROOM COMMUNICATION AUTHORIZATION
EACH PARENT FILL OUT THIS FORM FOR EACH STUDENT
Direct communication between parents is a great way for families to stay in the loop about what is happening both in your child’s classroom, and the school. The program is an important part of the Joe Serna Jr. Charter community by providing both communication and volunteer support to the teacher and the classroom.
The Room Parent is only allowed to communicate with families that give their consent to receive messages, so you must fill out this form for each of your students. If multiple parents wish to be included in the communications, please fill out this form for each parent.
